ETHICS, IDENTITY AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
In the “Mihajlo Pupin” private primary school, ethics, identity, and personal development are an integral part of the educational process. We believe that knowledge without moral principles has no lasting value, and that the school’s role, in addition to academic education, is to contribute to the development of responsible, self-aware, and empathetic individuals.

Why ethics and moral principles are important
Moral principles represent a child’s internal compass. They enable children to distinguish right from wrong, take responsibility for their actions, and develop a sense of justice and honesty. In modern society, where values are often relativized, the school plays an important role in shaping a clear and stable value framework.
At “Mihajlo Pupin,” children learn that ethics is not a set of abstract rules, but a way of everyday behavior—in relation to work, others, and themselves.

Development of empathy and relationships with others
Empathy is the foundation of healthy interpersonal relationships. It is important for children to develop the ability to understand others’ feelings, needs, and perspectives. Through teamwork and communication, students learn respect, acceptance of differences, and solidarity.

Identity as the foundation of personal stability
Personal identity is formed in childhood. A child who understands who they are, where they come from, and what values they stand for develops inner security and confidence. At “Mihajlo Pupin,” special attention is given to identity based on language, culture, work, and respect for the community.
