Тијана је дипломирала на Географском факултету Универзитета у Београду на смеру географија, где је одбранила и мастер рад.
Током студија учествовала је у бројним истраживањима и теренским испитивањима. Бавила се научним радом у Географском институту “Јован Цвијић”, на одељењу картографије.
Труди се да ученике на занимљив начин упозна са географијом. Да их подстакне да истражују свет око себе, науче да користе географску карту и глобус, као и да разумеју комплексност природних феномена попут климе, рељефа и екосистема.
Посебно је посвећена да децу од најранијих узраста усмери на важност бриге према планети и томе која је улога човека у њеном очувању.
