The best answers to life’s biggest questions are always simple!
Yes, it is possible!
We simply need to explain—first to ourselves and then to our children—why knowledge is important and what mobile phones are actually meant to be used for.
Every piece of knowledge we acquire becomes a part of us. It continues to live and grow within us, making us better and more capable. As we grow, this knowledge helps us become more confident, more fulfilled, and happier. In today’s world, however, technology—and mobile phones in particular—has interrupted this natural process. We have become overwhelmed by an excess of unnecessary information and constant communication. Then, together, we entered a global race against time, a race that continues to accelerate. In that race, we made one mistake: for just a moment, we handed our children mobile phones so that we could rest and “reset” ourselves. That was how it all began.
What Should We Do Now?
Together, we simply need to take one step back. That alone may be enough for us to reconnect with ourselves and to bring our children back to where they belong—our homes and our schools.
We will explain to our children how important knowledge is. We will celebrate it as something beautiful, exciting, and inspiring throughout every moment of school life. Then, when evening comes, we will all leave our mobile phones on a distant shelf. We will pause, step outside into the garden, onto the balcony, or simply look through the window in search of a patch of star-filled sky. As our children look up at the stars, we will read aloud stories about courage, loyalty, selflessness, kindness, love, and all those values that we ourselves too often forget to think about.

We Would Also Like to Share a Few Practical Tips on How to Help Shift Your Child’s Attention Away from Mobile Phones
- Set boundaries and establish clear rules about how much time children may spend on their phones and when they are allowed to use them. For example, create a daily schedule that defines when phone use is permitted and reserves time for studying, sports, and social interaction.
- Designate certain areas of your home, such as the dining room or bedrooms, as phone-free zones. This will help children focus on other activities and take regular breaks from screens.
- Set a positive example by limiting your own phone use. When children see that you also use your phone responsibly, they will be more motivated to follow your example. As a result, your family will have more free time to spend together in healthier and more creative ways.
- Encourage your children to take part in other activities, and join them whenever possible. Read together, draw, cook, dance, play sports, and spend as much time outdoors as you can.
Children learn by following your example, so be the positive role model they need. Their well-being is always your well-being, too.
