The national curriculum holds a central place at “Mihajlo Pupin” School. We deeply believe in the power of learning in one’s native language. It is difficult to imagine how stories, historical events, geographical concepts, mathematical formulas, and physical phenomena can truly be understood if they are not explained and presented in the language children understand best.
When we devote special attention to nurturing the Serbian language, culture of speech, the Cyrillic script, our literature, and when we teach the history and geography of our region, we ensure that the national curriculum becomes a foundation of identity, not merely a foundation of knowledge.
In addition to regular classes based on the national curriculum in an extended format, school life includes project-based work, thematic days, workshops, and public lessons.
